Handcrafted from Cocobolo Rosewood, Canary Wood, Macassary Ebony, Yellow Heart, Maple, Padauk, & Wenge, this comfort rollerball pen is certain to impress. Beyond the sheer number of pieces, the magnificence of this writing instrument arises from the bidirectional segmenting method. If you look carefully, you'll see the main portion of this pen features wooden segments that are "ripped", meaning the grain flows with the orientation of the pen. The four bands on the end of each piece are "cross cut", giving a different color, sparkle, and aesthetic. Together, this bidirectional design highlights the artistry and craftsmanship of luxury pen turning.

Finish: Gloss – The crystal-clear gloss finish holds several distinct advantages over the satin finish. It is much more durable, and will never need refinishing. It provides a clearer, better lens for light-colored woods and layered woods of contrasting colors. For intricate designs with inlay or small pieces, the gloss coating acts as a barrier to prevent small parts from separating. The “smooth” option guarantees an ultra smooth finish, achieved by a two-stage finishing process with cyanoacrylate, sanded to 12,000 grit, then waxed and polished.
